We had our grandkids with us and they enjoyed the large paved sites and grass areas. We also liked the playground and swimming pool. The showers were over the top with private showers and restrooms.

Knowles’ homestead was located in the southwest corner of the MHDSF which unfortunately was destroyed during the Castle Fire in 2020. Mountain Home
My cat is even on a leash and dose not like dogs chasing him or running at him. Mountain Home was our third stop on our 4 month motorhome excursion. We stopped in Mesquite, Salt Lake City then Mountain Home. We have traveled extensively in one motorhome after another over the past 30 years having touched every state staying in numerous RV Parks. Without a doubt this is one of the finest, best run, and with the most congenial personnel we have had the pleasure of staying.
Also, local golfing, historic attractions and natural beauty lure people to the area. Located in north-central Arkansas, the town of Mountain Home is only 52 miles from Harrison and 129 miles from Fayetteville. Make plans to visit the gem in the Ozarks for some outdoor fun.
Sites
A number of sawmills were built at Mountain Home to process the pine and redwood logs that were harvested from the forest. These mills included the Enterprise, Coburn, Frasier, Elster and Hedrick. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks three ponds in the area with trout for public fishing.
The result has been the preservation of more than 4,500 old-growth giant sequoias through active management of the mixed conifer forest that surrounds them. The giant sequoia flourishes among ponderosa pine, sugar pine, white fir and incense-cedar. The local Native Americans used this area in the summer to camp, hunt and gather food. An interpretive exhibit at Sunset Point leads visitors through an archaeological site with evidence of occupation dating back 9,000 years. An oasis in the middle of the mountains, This is the best RV park we have stopped at in our cross-country journey. Level, cement sites, full hook-ups, Black-topped roads, Lights at the front of every site.
We have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination at Hipcamp and are committed to helping our Host and Hipcamper community be inclusive. The sites are very secluded and Evan does a great job maintaining the property. There is a grill that can placed over the fire pit in the common area. There is a small wash sink in the main outhouse complex that campers water can be set up over. There is are two designated out house areas for human waste.
The camp host site is not available for public use. The campground is situated around Hedrick Pond, which is stocked with trout in the summer by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. The pond is a popular attraction for anglers often resulting in the campground being full nearly every weekend; as well as, a high number of day-users fishing the pond. Few of the campsites are suitable for trailers or RVs. Beautiful setting not too far from the interstate.
We have a 35'toy hauler and the spaces are large. This was the best park we stayed in on this 6000 mile trip, we stayed 9 days, monthly rates are very reasonable. Facility is great, restrooms, laundry, pool, overall layout and very roomy for our trailer.
The town of Mountain Home, AR sits within the Ozark Mountains and is surrounded by Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes, and the White and North Fork Rivers. Bull Shoals-White River State Park, just below Bull Shoals Dam, offers 105 campsites along the trout stream, picnic areas, pavilions, playgrounds, trails and a full-service dock. The park also schedules events, nature programs, and tours throughout the year. We have stayed here a couple of times and always receive great service and the park is beautiful.

The staff is very helpful and we will absolutely stay here again. Close enough to the freeway but without the noise. Very clean, level sites, with concrete pads, small trimmed trees, and well kept lawns at each site. We enjoyed the stay and will visit again when in the area. Wide pads with lots of grass and trees, spotlessly clean facilities, and an RV park that looks great. I have stayed at many places and this is a top three for me.
